Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take health insurance?

I don't directly accept or bill health insurance. However, I can provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company. It's important to note that assessment and evaluation services frequently require prior authorization, so please discuss this with your insurance company before our appointment to confirm if pre-authorization is necessary.

What is the fee for therapy sessions?

The initial 60-minute intake appointment is $200, and each follow-up 50-minute session cost $180.

What is the price for an evaluation?

The cost of an evaluation varies depending on factors such as the referral question, the type of evaluation, and the duration of the assessment. Typically, the cost falls within the range of $1500 to $3000.

Why are evaluations so expensive?

Psychological evaluations entail an exceptionally detailed and time-consuming process. The cost I charge covers the time spent conducting assessments, analyzing and interpreting the results, communicating with relevant parties, writing the report, and providing feedback. On average, this comprehensive process requires approximately 12-20 hours for each evaluation.

Are you licensed to practice?

Yes, I hold licenses in both Florida (PY10600) and Colorado (0005260). I am registered with PsyPact which allows me to provide treatment to people located in participating states.

Where is your practice located?

My office is in Gainesville, Florida, but I offer remote services to individuals located outside of Florida.
